Linen canvas overpainting collage
/This piece used to be a landscape. I brought the free canvas home from a coworkers place when he was getting ready to move across country. The canvas sat for over a year in the corner. It was about a telephone poll, and the land and trees around it. It had been hand stretched on a linen piece, almost like someone's clothing - very odd. It created a natural sewn texture throughout. The previous underpainting added wonderful folds under all the collage and paint.
